About the Teacher

TaIain Rowe, a Canadian ballet educator and former dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet, has performed in works by Jiří Kylián and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. A graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School, he holds a Master’s degree from New York University and has further honed his teaching expertise through Canada’s National Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program. Based in Toronto, he teaches internationally.

Experience with Iain Rowe

Riya had the privilege of attending a workshop led by Iain Rowe, a faculty member at Canada’s National Ballet School. Throughout the session, Mr. Rowe emphasized the fundamental principles of ballet, focusing on correct technique and movement. Through personalized guidance and one-on-one feedback, he helped Riya refine her technique, improve precision, and gain valuable insights to further her growth as a ballet student.

Workshop by Sarassanan Chaisinlapin

Sarassanan Chaisinlapin, Ballet Mistress & Assistant Director at Bangkok City Ballet, trained in classical ballet from age four at Chiang Mai Ballet Academy. She holds a BA in English from Chiang Mai University and prestigious dance certifications, including RAD Advanced Level, CSTD Jazz-Ballet, and RAD Ballet Teaching Certification (CBTS Program).
A Principal Dancer since 2014, her repertoire includes The Nutcracker, Don Quixoté, Coppélia, Swan Lake, La Sylphide, and more. With over 20 years of teaching and coaching experience, she now choreographs and mentors dancers, shaping the future of ballet.

Experience with Sarassanan Chaisinlapin

Riya had the incredible opportunity to learn from Sarassanan Chaisinlapin in an intensive ballet workshop. During the session, Sarassanan provided one-on-one guidance, helping Riya refine her plié techniques with precision and proper alignment. Through expert corrections and personalized feedback, Riya gained deeper insight into ballet fundamentals, improving both her strength and technique.

This enriching experience has been invaluable in Riya’s journey, inspiring her to elevate her skills and artistry under the guidance of an esteemed mentor.

Tamara Vile, Head of Education at ARBTA UK, has over 30 years of experience in ballet education. Trained at Central School of Ballet and London Contemporary Dance School, she has worked as a dancer, choreographer, and educator. Passionate about advancing global dance training, she develops programs, mentors teachers, and leads seminars on dance pedagogy.

Riya’s Workshop Experience
During the workshop, Tamara delivered an insightful lecture to parents and students on creativity, emotional development, musicality, cognitive thinking, and social bonding in ballet. She also engaged both parents and students in learning ballet movements, making the session interactive and enriching.
